Valley Recycling

Here is a quick list of items which we do currently take in at our site (remember, community participation is key...maybe you think you are only throwing away a few items which could be recycled but this can really add up if numerous households are not participating!!)

Glass.....all colors, window glass is accepted if frame is removed

Office Paper.....envelopes, junk mail, index cards, note paper, legal pad paper, books, computer paper, pastel colored paper, folders, adding machine/cash register paper, etc...NO newspaper, phone books, etc

Plastic.....# 1 & # 2 Plastic with a neck or twist off cap, milk jugs, laundry soap jugs, dish soap bottles, pop/water bottles, peanut butter jars, shampoo/conditioner bottles, etc.   NO motor oil or anti-freeze containers AT ALL.  Please wash out cooking oil bottles, we will only accept these if they are clean.  NO Ice cream or yogurt containers.

Magazines & small catalogs....NO Newspaper or Newspaper ads, NO office paper

Aluminum Cans....All donated cans go to various Charities, however you can bring Aluminum cans in for cash also.  You may include Pie Pans, foil, Aluminum pet food cans, etc in the Bin but please keep these items out of your Aluminum cans that you bring in for $$$$.

Metal....Soup cans, fruit & veggie cans, Hair Spray cans, scrap pieces, etc.

Newspaper.....all ads/advertising that comes with the paper can also go in with the newspaper...PLEASE NO magazines, office paper, boxes etc.

Corrugated Cardboard....Cardboard boxes, paper bags, cereal boxes, cracker boxes, etc......PLEASE NO wax coated boxes such as milk cartons, NO packing supplies such as shipping peanuts, etc

We also accept....car batteries, waste oil, phone books, rechargeable batteries & inkjet cartridges.

We are hoping in the future to add more items, but please keep in mind that many of the future items we will be accepting will have fees for proper disposal.

PLEASE NOTE that we DO NOT take in styrofoam items of any kind.

Plastic Bags and shrink wrap etc. is now being accepted at our main facility.
